#FeaturedFriday: Velvet Report

Hello everyone! For this week #FeaturedFriday, the lovely Cynthia from Pinch Of Chic will be sharing with us her favourite trend this season. If you haven’t already, follow her blog and her Instagram. We love her and her fashion! Let’s see what Cynthia has to say!
If there’s a trend that I’m all over but unfortunately don’t have enough pieces of..it’s velvet.
A material so chic, screams old Hollywood glam and is comfy—this is the trend wagon you want to ride on.

From simple choker neck candy to bold jumpsuits, this trend has proven to be extremely diverse and not only reserved for just the evenings.

There is a slight edgy yet elegant factor when wearing out this trend—especially if you’re pairing a velvet slip dress with some sleek black leather booties or Mary Jane platforms, as seen on the runways like Gucci, Chanel and Lanvin.
Just to name drop a few celebrities that have successfully pull this trend off:

What is HOT this Spring 2016?

Hello everyone and happy Monday!

As we all know, yesterday was the first day of Spring and I am already excited for warmer weather. This spring, you are going to see a lot of great patterns, soft pastel colours and definitely a lot of baby blue and distressed denim.

Let’s have a look of what will be our style guide for this Spring 2016!

Need a guideline of colour pantone to shop for this Spring? Check this chart out. Rose Quartz, Serenity, Peach Echo and Limpet Shell are my most favourite colours of this season.

As I mentioned, this Spring 2016, you will see a lot of Rose Quartz and Serenity together since they complement each other very well. You will also see a lot of feminine staples like lace and ruffles with a twist of edginess. Boyfriend’s jeans and distressed jeans continue to take over this season as they make great formal and casual looks.

I recently purchased a pair of Steve Madden in Serenity myself and I CANNOT WAIT for the warm weather to come so I can bring these babies out. Aren’t they gorgeous?

Make up:

This Spring is all about bringing out that natural peachy glow look on your face. No more heavy contour, we are talking about highlights and dewy skin. Remember, less is always more for this season!

A couple of great products I would like to recommend to you are:

I Do Palette by Motives Cosmetics and created by celebrities MakeUp Artist Jackie Gomez

This palette comes with 5 super pigmented eyeshadows, one blush, one bronzer and one highlighter ( I can’t say how much I love this highlighter. I actually purchased the whole palette just to use the highlighter lol

Motives Cosmetics Lip Candies series

I love these lip candies and this season is all about natural and glossy lips and these colours are perfect to complete your look for Spring.

What about you? What are your favourite Spring trends and products?
