Timeless Prescription 3 Step Acne Care System

Good evening everyone and Happy Easter!

As I promised last week on my Instagram, I am sharing with you my experience after a week using this new Timeless Prescription 3 Step Acne System that I just got introduced to.

Since the products are shipped from the US, I had to wait about a week for them to arrive.

  • Packaging: I like the clean and fresh look of the products. The bottles come in 2 different sizes. Step 1 & 2’s bottles (4 oz.) are slightly bigger than Step 3 bottle (2 oz.). I like the fact that they are travel friendly size so you can easily bring them with you when you travel. They also comes with a clear travel bag that makes it even more convenient for packing.

So far, I think I like the cleanser. It contains 2.5% benzoyl peroxide which is a very common ingredients in acne treatments. It has a sandy texture which helps with exfoliating your dead skin and uncloging your pores when you cleanse your face. Benzoyl peroxide is well known as an antibacterial ingredient that can deep cleanse your pore and kill bacterias that responsible for white heads and acne. I found that this cleanser is a bit too strong for me to use every day because I don’t have as much acne as I used to. But for someone who is still battling with acne, I highly recommend you trying out this cleanser. My acne immediately reduced in size and dried out after 2 days using this cleanser.

Why 2.5% and not higher?

Benzoyl peroxide is quite strong and effective even at 2.5%. It’s always better to start at the lowest % first and increase it later on if your skin is not responding to it than starting off with a high % because if you have sensitive skin, this ingredient can cause more harm than help.

I have to say this is one of the best acne treatment toner that I have ever used. I found that most acne treatment toners tends to contain alcohol or harsh ingredients that dry out your skin but I was surprised to find that this toner is full of natural ingredients that help retain moisture and improve skin condition. It contains aloe vera leaf juice which is high in anti inflammation benefits and soothing agents, ginger root extract which is especially designed to respond to the problems of oily skin by supporting normal pore diameter and bacterial proliferation. It also contains witch hazel water which is well known for its soothing, cooling effects to promote healthy skin. I found that this toner is specifically designed to compensate for any dryness that the cleanser with benzoyl peroxide could cause. The best part is, it smells very light and fresh!

The instruction on the bottle suggests that you apply a thin layer on the entire affected area 3 times daily. This Step 3 Acne Lotion also contains benzoyl peroxide and pathenol (vitamin B5) which stimulates normal cellular proliferation and aids in normal tissue repair and supports skin’s normal wound healing. Because I was afraid that this treatment was too strong for my skin (again, I have very sensitive skin), I actually use this lotion as a spot treatment and I only apply it on before I go to bed. This works wonderful as a spot treatment. I had a large red pimple on my cheek last week (yes, it’s that time of the month) and after only one usage, the redness was reduced and after 2 usages, the pimple almost disappeared.

Overall, I really like these products. I wish I heard about these amazing acne treatment products when I was battling with acne really badly when I was in high school and university.

If you are struggling with acne and are looking for products that would actually work, I highly recommend these products to try out and I love to hear about your experience as well :).

What Your Acne Says About Your Health

Are you sick and tired of dealing with acne for years and nothing seems to help?

Do you feel like there is something more to all the skin problems than just hormones imbalance and clogged pores?

If the answer is ‘YES’, this post is for you.

Being a victim of acne for quite a long time until I turned 24, I have never thought that skin problems are the way your bodies use to tell us that something is wrong from the inside and that they needed to be fixed from the inside as well.

Here is a acne face map that you can refer to and find out what problems you need to take care of

Things you can do to improve:

  • Avoid fast food and eating out too much. I know it’s hard, especially when you are still in school and fast food is pretty much all the options you have on campus but it is all going to be worth it.
